With three presentations and a masterclass, Dr. Anastasios Vekris, MD, Plastic Surgeon, Member of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), founder of Advanced Hair Clinics, and Director of Cosmetic Derma Medicine Medical Group, won the attention of the delegates at the 19th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (AESURG 2024) held from 27-30 March.
Dr. Anastasios Vekris, MD, Plastic Surgeon, Member of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), Founder of Advanced Hair Clinics and Director of Cosmetic Derma Medicine Medical Group was invited to the 19th Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (AESURG 2024) in India, held from March 27-30, to present 3 lectures and a masterclass.
Influential presentations to a very demanding and experienced audience
Dr. Vekris’s presentation ” Prevention & management of complications in hair transplantation” captivated the audience. Among the valuable information emanated from his years of experience, Dr. Vekris pointed out to the attending physicians that “the only way to reduce the chance of complications in surgery is through continuous education, awareness, knowledge, adherence to protocol, and humility”.
High interest was also shown during Dr. Vekris’s presentation “Scar Reconstruction With FUE Hair Transplantation”, where the renowned plastic surgeon focused on modern techniques for scar reconstruction on the scalp and face after failed hair transplants, injuries and burns.
As an official guest and prominent speaker at the conference, Dr. Vekris conducted a masterclass on “Design & Distribution of Hair Follicles” focusing on the importance of designing a natural hairline and the elements of facial structure that the surgeon must keep in mind when implanting hair to achieve the expected result. At the same conference, Dr. Vekris participated in an engaging panel discussion entitled “How to Set Up a Successful Hair Restoration Practice” where he shared with the attendees the “secrets” of a successful career and practice specializing in hair transplantation.
