Four presentations for Advanced Hair Clinics at the LAHRC Conference - Workshop in Mexico

One of the largest gatherings of FUE hair transplantation specialists worldwide, the Los Angeles Hair Restoration Courses (LAHRC) held from June 6-8 in Mexico, was attended as guest speaker and moderator by Dr. Anastasios Vekris, MD, Plastic Surgeon, Member of ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery), founder of Advanced Hair Clinics and Director of Cosmetic Derma Medicine Medical Group. AHC was also represented by Dr. Amalia Tsiatoura, Dermatologist – Venereologist and Scientific Director of Cosmetic Derma Medicine Medical Group, Hair Surgery Specialist and Associate Medical Director of Advanced Hair Clinics Dr. Antonia Andriopoulou, Hair Surgery Specialist Dr. Lina Nassouli and nurse Ina Miacotina.

LAHRC is a three-day training seminar in FUE technique where world-renowned experts from around the world update their colleagues on advances in hair transplantation, lead informative workshops, present and perform live surgeries and cutting-edge techniques.

Dr. Vekris played a leading role in this three-day conference with three major presentations that captured the attention of the scientific audience and sparked interesting discussions.

His presentation entitled “Recruiting and training hair transplant staff” highlighted the importance of training and selection of collaborators in creating an effective medical team. Dr. Vekris shared with the delegates the pyramid of creating a successful team

Dr. Vekris’ presentation “If I were to do it again: sag advice for the new hair transplant surgeons” was also in a similar context of consulting and education. In an impressive way that creates a connection between the speaker and the audience and a high degree of understanding, Dr. Vekris referred to the “12 commandments from the expert in hair transplantation”.

The specifics and challenges of facial hair restoration were the focus of Dr. Anastasios Vekris’ third presentation, “Facial Hair Restoration”. As the physician pointed out, genital hair restoration was made possible thanks to the minimally invasive nature of the FUE technique, but excellent knowledge and skill is required to achieve a natural result that satisfies both the patient and the physician.

In turn, Dr. Antonia Andriopoulou discussed the high-precision implantation tools, their technique and differences. In her presentation titled “Mini Sharp Implanters vs Dull Implanters: best practices”, Dr. Andriopoulou discussed the advantages, disadvantages and differences in use between Sharp Implanters and Dull Implanters.

The presence of Dr. Vekri and Advanced Hair Clinics was prominent in the conference proceedings, with the physician being the lead moderator in the session titled “Graft Integrity.”

As part of the live surgeries, Dr. Vekris and Dr. Andriopoulou participated in the course entitled “Shaved FUE and BHT. Use of Implanter Pens”, demonstrating in practice the key points of successful implantation technique using these high-tech tools.

The active participation of Advanced Hair Clinics’ physicians in this important conference once again highlights the high level and contribution of its physicians in the research and practical field of FUE hair transplantation.
