DERMATOLOGIST Dimitra Zafeiratou

Dr. Dimitra Zafeiratou is a Dermatologist – Venereologist who graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2010 and obtained her specialty title in Dermatology – Venereology in 2024. She trained as a resident in Dermatology – Venereology at Andreas Syggros Hospital from 2020 to 2024. Prior to that, she was responsible for laser treatments, aesthetic procedures, and injectable therapies at Cosmetic Derma Medicine – Advanced Hair Clinics (2013–2019). She also served as the medical director for laser applications at MediPRINOU and DNA (2012), completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Lixouri (2011–2012), and carried out her rural medical service at the Karavados Rural Clinic, serving the community of Vlachata, while also being on-call at the Microbiology – Pathology Laboratory of the General Hospital of Kefalonia.

She has attended specialized training programs such as the Pediatric Dermatology Course (EADV, Barcelona, 2024), the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM, London, 2017), and the Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM, London, 2016), and has received focused training in the management of bullous diseases at Andreas Syggros Hospital. She is fluent in English (Certificate of Proficiency in English – Cambridge & Michigan) and French (DELF 2ème degré).

Her scientific publications include “Latest developments in gonococcal infection” in the Hellenic Review of Dermatology and Venereology and “Total regrowth in chronic severe Alopecia Areata treated with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)” in the Hair Transplant Forum International.

She also serves as a peer reviewer for international journals such as the International Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Case Reports and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International.

She has participated in numerous scientific conferences and seminars and has presented papers at both international and national congresses, including the 73rd Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (2015, San Francisco) and the EADV Spring Symposium (2024, Malta). She is an active member of the Athens Medical Association (ISA), the General Medical Council (GMC, UK), the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology (HSDV), and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV).
