Guest Speaker at the 29th ISHRS World Congress was Dr. Anastasios Vekris, Plastic Surgeon, ISHRS Member & Medical Director of Advanced Hair Clinics, which took place from the 21st until the 23rd of October 2021, in Lisbon, Portugal.
Amongst esteemed hair restoration experts from all over the world, Dr. Anastasios Vekris presented a speech on “The key elements of successful beard restoration”. During the congress, he also participated as a panelist in the “Managing Difficult Cases” Session, in which he was asked to share his extensive knowledge on difficult cases he has successfully treated, one of them being the case of a young man who suffered from post-burn alopecia since the age of 4 that had resulted to scarring on a large area of his scalp.
Lastly, Dr. Vekris presented a poster about the topic “When All things Go Wrong in FUE Procedures” and how such cases can be treated.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Anastasios Vekris and members of the scientific team of Advanced Hair Clinics have participated for many years in ISHRS World Conferences. Dr. Vekris, with over 20 years of experience in Hair Transplantation and hair restoration treatments, was 1 of 10 hair transplant surgeons worldwide who has presented live real hair transplant cases performed in Advanced Hair Clinics, at the ISHRS Live Patient Viewing Session for three consecutive years (2017, 2018 and 2019).
